Symphonic Band

A year-round ensemble performing a minimum of three full-length concerts each year, plus University-sanctioned events. Required of every scholarship and band financial award recipient.

What It Takes

The Year

  • A minimum of three full-length concerts
  • Freshman Convocation
  • Founders’ Day Convocation
  • Commencement

Rehearsal

  • Spring semester, Monday through Thursday, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Additional information issued at the start of the fall semester

What Is Coming

  • Within three years the ensemble splits into Concert Band and Symphonic Band
  • Symphonic Band will be by audition only
  • It becomes the official touring ensemble, representing the Department of Music and the University
