Ministers of Funk
The Role
- Lead the band on the field, in the stands and on the parade route
- Conduct pregame, halftime and the fifth quarter
- Carry the mace and set the tempo of every entrance
Selection
- Open to returning members of the marching band
- Interview with the Director of Bands
- Conducting, vocal command and field teaching assessment
- Performance assessment on your primary instrument
Standards
- 2.75 cumulative GPA, as for all student leadership
- Sophomore standing or above
- At least one full year in the program
